The MIS Heart of Gold Auction is the largest community event for the Parent Teacher Club. This makes it an excellent opportunity for parents and friends of the Mary Immaculate community to come together for an important cause. A cause near and dear to all of our hearts - our children!
This year's event is schedule for Saturday, February 20, 2010, in the Garden Court of the Intercontinental Hotel in Addison. The fun begins at 5:30pm and will include a silent and live auction, as well as dinner and dancing.
We are proud and excited to announce our speaker at this year’s Heart of Gold Auction: Tracey Bates Leone, Mary Immaculate Class of 1981, who is currently the assistant coach of the women’s soccer team at Harvard University. One of the highlights of her carreer was serving as assistant coach of the gold medal-winning US Olympic Women's Soccer Team at the 2004 Games in Athens, Greece.
We will once again have Last Man Standing as our after-auction entertainment. And do not worry, even if the auction runs a little long, the band will be playing until 1:00am (added bonus - babysitting is open until 1:00am also).
What better way for families to make memories of these very important “MIS years” than to become involved in this great community event. Since your family will likely be at MIS for up to 9 years, it is not only your children who will be making lifetime friends and memories, but you will as well. |
